This mornings song is called Zechariah's song. It is a prophecy over his son, John the Baptist. You can hear the desperation of Israel in Zechariah's words as he praises God. But Israel was expecting a militant victory over their enemies.
But God had something bigger in mind. He offers victory over the condition of the human heart: violence, crime, ware, racism, classism...
