Rev. Michelle Harris has been serving the United Methodist Church since 2006.  In 2017, she received her MDiv from Asbury Theological Seminary.  Prior to becoming a Pastor, she served on a church staffs ministering to families through children’s ministries, worship planning, communications, marketing, and spiritual formation for young and parenting adults. Pastor Michelle is energized by God’s work in the local church and enjoys envisioning new ways for the church to thrive in future generations.  Reaching people with the fresh message of God’s grace through Jesus Christ by preaching, teaching, serving, and ordering the life of the church is her life’s passion and call.   Pastor Michelle finds great meaning in offering opportunities for people of all walks of life to enter deeper into a transformational relationship with God.  Pastor Michelle is married to Rev. Jason Harris, Pastor of First UMC LaPlace.  Together they have three children, Emma (13), Jackson (11), and Evelyn (1) and two dogs, Harley and Rocket.  When their family is away from the church, they enjoy cheering on Emma at gymnastics and Jackson on the soccer field.

Karen has been Church Secretary/Office Manager at St. Charles UMC since 1999.  Karen maintains the duties of the church office.  She is involved with her own church, where she sings in the Church Choir and serves as Children’s Ministry Director.  Prior to coming to SCUMC, she worked in banking for 21 years.

Wesley Chambers is the new Director of Music Ministries at St. Charles UMC. Wesley grew up in Porterdale, Georgia outside Atlanta where he was active in his church's UMYF ministry and was the drum major of his high school marching band. Wes attended Birmingham-Southern College where he earned a Bachelor of Music Arts in Pedagogy, specializing in Tuba and brass. Since moving to New Orleans in June 2017, he works as a teacher and administrator for the NOLA School of Music. Wes holds music to a high stand and values intentional worship.

Patty Loftus joined the SCUMC Children’s Day Out Preschool Program in 1996 as the interim Director and has remained as Director for the past 18 years. She has enjoyed working with all of the SCUMC staff  and is grateful to have shared this ministry with so many wonderful children and families from all over the River Region. Patty holds a Master’s degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education from Louisiana State University.

He's the tech guy that has a hard time writing engaging messages. While not a trained IT specialist, he's been playing with web programing before pictures were allowed on the web.
